30 Before 30

I have been working on this list since I turned 25, almost 2 years ago. I can't believe I'll be 27 in less than a month! It has taken me forever to put it up mostly because I couldn't think of 30 things to add. I have it all written in a notebook, but I changed a few things on this list. Instead of becoming fluent in Spanish or Russian I said I would finish a Duolingo course because, let's be honest, I suck at learning languages.

Finish the Spanish or Russian Duolingo course

Visit 3 European countries (Russia, Spain, Finland)

Receive a TESOL endorsement

Learn to make an ethnic dish (Blini)

Read 20 books

Learn to drive a manual car

Watch every Leonardo DiCaprio movie

Ride on a train

Visit Harry Potter World

Get a tattoo

Get in shape

Take an art class

Learn to be happy

Do the splits

Wear red lipstick more

Get a manicure and pedicure

Rescue a dog or cat from the animal shelter

Donate blood

Read the Walking Dead graphic novels

See a water spout

Participate in a ceremony of a different religion

Finish latch hook rug

Go on a road trip/Visit five new states

Go wine or beer tasting

Try embroidery 

Have a reunion with Mike and Haley

24 Before 25

As you may or may not recall I made a list of 23 things I wanted to do before I turned 24*. I didn't even get through half the list. This year I made another one. I already know there are plenty of things I'm not going to get through. Plus, I'm posting this about, um, 4 months too late. Better late than never!

2. Read one book a month

3. Finish rug

4. Pay off car

5. Run a 5k

6. Sew a skirt

7. Save for Asia trip

8. Eat a macaron

9. Watch "Catching Fire"

10. Make homemade pizza

11. Visit James A. Garfield's House

23 Before 24

Today is the day, my 23rd birthday! I feel so old, but I'm so excited to spend my special day celebrating with awesome people!

I've seen this done on several blogs (specifically here and here) and I decided I wanted to give it a go. It's a list of 23 things I want to do before I turn 24 and what better way to display it than on my 23 birthday. It is kind of like a bucket list but with things I can do in a year. I feel like this will get my motivated to actually enjoy life instead of just sitting around and letting the days pass by. I will continue marking off things I have done during the next year here.

1. Watch some of the London Olympics

2. Get a stamp in my passport

3. Visit a history museum

4. Make homemade Indian food

5. Complete my New Years Resolution of reading 20 books

6. Hand make cards and send them to friends

7. Make something I found on Pinterest

8. Go camping

9. Buy a bike (and ride it!)

10. Consolidate my bank accounts and have at least $1000 in my savings account

11. Find a church

12. Learn more about tea

13. Get an adult job!!!

14. Walk (or exercise) more

15. Learn to sew
