Moscow, I Love You, Pt. 5

Thursday, May 5, 2016
Thursday was our last day in Moscow, and it was a full day since our flights didn't leave until midnight. I woke up sick that morning, and I just had all my energy drained from me. I was not looking forward to spending the entire day out and about with a weak body and feet that hurt from 4 days of constant walking. I am not happy with any of my pictures from this day. Partially because I am terrible at taking photos indoors and partially because I just didn't have the energy to take photos.
We started our day by going to the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. I love space. I wanted to be an astronomer (not to be confused to astrologer) when I was younger, so I find space travel fascinating. The outside of the museum was built in typical Russian fashion: astonishing and impressive. You can see a picture I took on my Instagram account here! I was also delighted to see Belka and Strelka - two dogs who were sent to space during the Space Race. Those were actually the first two Russian words I ever learned back in 2011 when I was student teaching. I was seeing a guy at the time who spoke Russian and my students were making comic books on the Cold War. I like to think that moment was foreshadowing my move to Russia.
The museum was right next to the All-Russian Exhibition Center so we walked to the park. I was getting annoyed with A at this point because there were two things I REALLY wanted to do while in Moscow and he straight out refused to do them with me. I'm not going to give them away because I plan on going back to Moscow this summer and I don't want to ruin the surprise. We were both exhausted so we sat on a bench for a while. When we felt like our feet were ready to walk we went to the Moskvarium. I didn't really want to go because I don't like seeing whales and dolphins in cages, but the rest of the aquarium was remarkable. I didn't get any pictures on the inside because they weren't coming out, but you can see some videos in this post.
The day was going by so fast and since it was late afternoon we decided our last stop should be Arbat Street. We started walking but I just couldn't walk anymore so we went to Му-Му to sit down and eat dinner. A wanted to charge his phone and we still did not want to walk so we went to Dunkin Donuts for donuts and outlets. After what felt like no time it was already time to head to the train station to grab our bags and wait for the suburban train to the airport.

Do you have any suggestions for my next trip to Moscow? What should I see, do, or eat?
