Gramma would make it often, (Fridays were alays meatless) and I still make it to this day (although now I am making it with gluten free pasta) This recipe of yours is just like hers .... My "newer" version has some seasoned salt and maybe a bit of acidity, like lemon or a sprinkle of vinegar. It is especially handy when you are cooking for yourself or two as cabbage lasts quite a long while in the fridge and the pasta and onions stay in the pantry ....... The best comfort food ever!
